Thousands of dead minks appear to rise from the grave like zombies after getting massacred over COVID-19 fear.
Amid a coronavirus outbreak in Denmark, several thousand animals were slaughtered and buried in a makeshift mass tomb near Holstebro town. They were dumped in a hurry as they supposedly carried covid-19 strain and should be disposed of immediately. The dead bodies of the slaughtered critters were buried just 3-feet deep. By a grotesque biological phenomenon, the corpses were pushed to the surface due to the release of gases by decomposition.
Denmark’s Agriculture and Food Ministry announced the culling of 15 million minks in the mid of November after the mutated version of Covid-19 was discovered in fur farms.
The officials said that they are worried as the strain might undermine the effectiveness of vaccines.
Thus, they ordered to slaughter all of the country’s minks. Two weeks after the culling order, the ministry resigned as the government said they didn’t have the authority to order a cull.It is important to remember that Denmark is the largest exporter of mink fur.
Spectators witnessed a spine-chilling scene at a military training field near a lake in Denmark’s western region.
They got angry by the irresponsible and flawed burial of the minks, which might have proved to be a public health nightmare.
According to medical experts, the eerie cadavers have the potential to cause environmental damage by causing phosphorous and nitrogen pollution. The slaughtered species should have been dumped at least 5 feet deep.
“What the f**** are authorities tryin’ to do? They are polluting our environment using the place as a dumping ground,” said an infuriated politician.
Denmark’s environmental ministry faced immense backlash for the irresponsible act to which they responded, calling the incident “a temporary problem tied to the animals.” The authorities also ensured that they’ll monitor the grave for the next 24 hours or until a fence is put up to evade any problem.
