In the UK, a woman who was told that she can never have children adopted and raised a boy that was left by her neighbor.
Rosalinda, now in her 70’s, shared in a TikTok video that she was looking after her neighbor’s son because she went out shopping and never came back. She raised the little boy as her own until he was 18, but the boy left her to live with his biological father.
Rosalinda, who has nearly 52,000 TikTok Followers, shared that in her early twenties, she was told that she could never have children of her own.
“When my next-door neighbor asked me to look after her little boy while she went shopping, I said of course,” Rosalina said. “But she never came back.”
“That little boy stayed with me through my marriage, that I’ve spoken about before until he was 18 when he found his dad and left to go and start a new life with his father, and maybe his mother, I’m not sure,” she added. “So I decided to become a foster parent.”
That experience made her decide to be a foster parent, and her first foster child was a little boy named Adeola.
Over the years, she fostered many children which led to her adopted daughter Lola, who is now 30. She reminisced how Lola came to her in mid-May of 1990 and described her as “such a beautiful little baby” with “really beautiful eyes” and she has been with her ever since.
TikTok has been the 70-year-old’s life diary. Not only she shares her fostering journey, but she also details some of her unforgettable life events to her followers.
In Rosalinda’s first TikTok video, she shared how she caught her husband having an affair with her sister.
Rosalinda said in the video that after having a migraine during a night shift at work, she suddenly went home and caught her husband in bed with her sister who is living with them because she’d left her husband.
As she sat down having a cup of coffee and painkillers, she heard “strange noises from above” and presumed it was the children.
“I went to check on the children and they were fast asleep, then I realized the noises were coming from my sister’s room,” she said. “I checked upstairs in my room, and my husband was nowhere to be found.”
“So, I went into her room, turned on the light, and there they were,” she recalled. “I chased them out screaming, they run down the stairs, I picked up what looked like a meat chopper from the kitchen, my sister run so quickly out of the front door in just her underwear.”
Rosalinda later shared the part two of her story and said that her sister never apologized. Her ex-husband and sister denied the affair but still went on to get married.
She said the pair have apologized to her after 30 years, and even had the audacity to invite her to their wedding.
“It’s as though she’s wiped it completely from her mind, it’s never been mentioned,” Rosalinda said. “At a family funeral, I asked her about it and she completely denied it happened. Washed it completely from her mind, and I don’t know how, because I certainly haven’t.”
Rosalinda found love again until 2006, she was 55 and had a very eventful life without men.
