Royal security personnel has confirmed reports regarding the arrest of a topless woman outside of Windsor Castle on the day of Prince Philip’s funeral.
According to local media outlets, armed police were captured by the media as they arrested a half-naked woman who started protesting outside the funeral service on Saturday afternoon.
Police reportedly swept her away as she made her way through a barrier and then started to run towards Windsor Castle, yelling at the top of her lungs, “Save the Planet.”
Authorities confirmed how the funeral procession was taking place at that time. Meanwhile, local news outlets also spoke about how the woman began running in front of the crowd as she nearly approached the Castle, right after everyone observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the deceased Duke of Edinburgh.
The woman allegedly started to run towards the road as she yelled in the loudest of tones, “Save the Planet,” right after a crowd of people began to applaud, following the moment of silence.
She then showed a rather adventurous side by jumping over Queen Victoria’s famous statue, right before the authorities caught hold of her and then removed her from the scene that took place at Castle Hill.
Right after the shockingly bizarre incident, images from the scene showed her being escorted away by the police officers who were armed and on duty. The images of the incident went viral as the crowds present at the scene started to take pictures and were amused by what was really going on.
Security was on high alert for the funeral procession with hundreds of officers deployed for the funeral service as millions of viewers watched the royal event unfold from their television screens.
