‘Key Witness’ In George Floyd Trial Who Was In The Car With Him REFUSES To Testify


The key witness in the high-profile George Floyd trial has refused to testify, sending shockwaves around the nation.

Morries Lester Hall who was clearly outlined in the bodycam footage as sitting right next to George Floyd in the car has refused to testify during the ongoing trial. Moreover, he has even gone as far as stating to the court how he would invoke the Fifth Amendment in case he was forced to testify during the trial.

Morries Lester Hall shocked so many Americans as he was one of George Floyd’s closest friends and also the same person who vowed to be Floyd’s voice during his trial. But now, however, it appears as if the tables have been turned after his abrupt refusal.

According to local media outlets, The Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office had filed a notice on Wednesday, which was on behalf of 42-year-old Morries. He was reportedly sitting in the car on the day that George Floyd was killed as cops approached Floyd for making use of a fake $20 bill at Minneapolis’s Cup Foods store.

The notice filed mentioned in bold terms, “Mr Morries hereby provides the notice to all respective parties regarding this matter that in case he is called to testify, he will invoke the Fifth Amendment privilege which is against the act of self-incrimination.

On the other hand, authorities previously mentioned how Hall was a very important witness in the entire investigation comprising of 4 cops who brutally apprehended George Floyd. As his longtime friend, he sat right next to him with another occupant by the name of Shawanda Hill, seated in the back.

A former police officer from Minneapolis also mentioned how the prosecutors as well as the defense side’s attorney, Eric Nelson, had both listed Morries as a leading and potential witness into the murder trial of Derek Chauvin.
