Chaos struck Virginia Beach on Friday night after officials confirmed two people dead and as many as 8 others wounded.
According to local media reports, a series of deadly shootings took center state in the late hours of Friday where police confirmed multiple victims had suffered from life-threatening injuries. Moreover, two people were reported as dead too.
The chaotic incident took place in Virginia Beach where the area’s police chief, Paul Neudigate, confirmed how the shootings unfolded via at least 3 different crime scenes. Moreover, police were busy working with other investigatory teams to determine how and if the events were actually related to one another.
Neudigate carried out a press conference at 1 am in night on Saturday, where he spoke about the latest developments in the shootings’ case. “What you can witness is that we have a very chaotic incident. It was a very chaotic night at the beach with many crime scenes,” he added.
According to news outlets, the first incident that unfolded resulted in 8 people getting shot at the 20th & Atlantic Avenue. Moreover, as police officers responded to that particular scene, a series of additional shots were fired in the air, around a block west. The police chief went on to add how that particular shooter was killed in the incident by police intervention.
