It was a harrowing sight for many demonstrators who forced diners to flee from one restaurant in New York.
According to reports, the incident took place an eatery in Rochester, in light of the recent Daniel Prude killing.
The startling footage, released on social media, showed how the demonstrators shut down an entire restaurant, where diners were enjoying a peaceful meal.
Around 1000 supporters stood up for the anti-racism movement. Moreover, the gathering took place at a venue, located downtown Rochester, New York. This was the exact same location where Daniel Prude suffered to death, while under police custody.
The massive crown centered around a restaurant on Friday night. Here, diners looked absolutely terrified to see the demonstrators. And that’s because they began smashing glasses, right in front of their faces. Similarly, they broke plates while overturning chairs and yelled towards them to leave.
The chilling footage also shows how one female BLM protestor shouts into a diner’s face, ‘We’re shutting your party down.’ Meanwhile, another woman started running for her life, and that’s when a protestor stopped her and explained, ‘no need to run. Nobody is hurting you. We’re only shutting your party down.’
This is the third night of violent protest that gripped Rochester city, ever since Daniel Prude’s death on Friday. Reports showed how Prude died after suffering from suffocation in Rochester police custody.
While the demonstrations started off on a peaceful note, they suddenly entered into a violent phase. Soon enough, police arrived and that’s when they started firing pepper balls towards demonstrators. Likewise, protestors set another bus stop on fire. And that’s when authorities called the entire event as ‘unlawful assembly.’
More so, police even shouted through their megaphones, in an attempt to disperse the crowds. They claimed how those who chose to stay behind would immediately get arrested.
