One Uber Eats customer is sharing her shocking experience after receiving a baffling text from her delivery driver.
Illy Ilyas mentioned how her food delivery from a fast food restaurant left her laughing and confused for days. According to media reports, the customer from Ilford in East London talked about how she ordered a meal to fulfill her fast food cravings. But little did she know about how the situation would end.
Illy explains how she waited and waited to claim her food. But suddenly, she received a cheeky text message from her delivery driver instead. And it was definitely something that the young woman wasn’t anticipating at all.
Her order from Bim’s comprised of two large burger meals and a separate chicken wrap too. In the end, her meal cost around 15 pounds on a Saturday evening. Illy continuously received notifications from the application about her meal and how it was on its way. Soon, it was due to arrive.
However, a screenshot from her cellphone revealed how the application informed her that the meal would be dropped outside her doorstep and she would receive an alert whenever it happened.
Instead, what she received was nothing of that sort. Instead of getting food delivered, she received a text message from her delivery driver. He mentioned, “Sorry love, ate all of your food” and that’s when she found her front doorstep completely empty.
Truly, this update was a strange affair and something she could never dream of. In addition, she was asked if she would like to tip her driver, adding greater insult to her wounds. Thankfully, the young woman was able to see the humorous side to the affair, claiming she did not blame her driver since she didn’t know what his situation was.
The 21-year-old customer mentioned, “The funny text message added a humorous element to my usual mundane and Uber Eats order.” Hence for that reason, she let the situation go and forgave the rider for doing so.
Wow, she definitely has a good heart because other customers would certainly blow up with fury. What do you think?
