Mike Tyson confirmed his stunning return to boxing as he shared a video of himself highlighting his blitzing hand speed.
The former heavyweight king have been releasing a number of video clips of himself working the pads, leaving his fans excited over the possibility of him returning to the ring.
The 53-year-old boxing legend proved that he hasn’t lost his superb speed and power since he hung his gloves in 2005, and expressed how he is open to competing this year in exhibition bouts for charity.
Recently, Tyson released another video showing his ferocious power and lightning-speed combos, and teased to the camera afterwards by saying, “I’m back”.
“Iron Mike” revealed last month that he had been preparing to return to boxing for an exhibition contest.
On an Instagram live, he said, “I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week. That’s been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts.“
“I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape,” he added.
He continued by describing his desire to go to the gym to get in shape so he could box three or four round exhibition matches for charity.
“Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf***** like me,” he explained.
He detailed his routine to get back in shape, which includes two hours on cardio, 250 to 300 reps on light weights, and hit the mitts for 30 minutes.
“I’m starting to put those combinations together. I’m in pain, I feel like three guys kicked the s*** out of me,” he said.
While Iron Mike confirmed his return, it is not yet clear whom he will go up against, rumors say his former arch nemesis Evander Holyfield is open to meet him for the third time.
