Twitter ‘Permanently’ Bans President Trump From Its Platform


Social media giant Twitter has permanently suspended President Donald Trump’s account from its platform recently.

The company revealed the jaw-dropping news on Friday evening, sending shockwaves around the globe. According to a public press release statement issued by the organization, Twitter explained how it closely reviewed a series of recent Tweets made by the President.

Keeping those in mind, it mentioned how the @realDonaldTrump account and the context surrounding it just didn’t go in line with the platform’s regulations. “We have permanently suspended this account for the risk of further incitement of violence,” it mentioned.

Twitter also explained that during the recent series of horrific events that took place in the US Capitol this week, it made it very clear that additional violations of the company’s rules would lead to a permanent ban. Hence, for this reason, they had no other option left but to move forward with this course of action.
