Twitter’s CEO spoke for the first time ever since’s Donald Trump’s permanent ban from the social media giant’s platform.

According to media reports, Jack Dorsey explained how banning the US president from Twitter for life was the best decision and the right one. However, he also added how the ban poses a dangerous threat when looking at the big picture in the long run.

Twitter’s CEO spoke out via a series of Tweets that were released on Wednesday. Here, he shed more light on the permanent ban that Twitter handed down last week, right after Trump’s enraged supporters stormed the Capitol in DC. “I don’t celebrate the ban, neither do I feel proud about it,” he mentioned.

However, he did say that it was the right decision, keeping in mind the circumstances that surrounded it. Describing it as an extraordinary as well as untenable circumstance, he says that it was an action taken in light of the public’s safety.
