The shockingly bold statements came to light after Trump’s impeachment trial in Congress picked up speed. And that’s when many people asked if the former US president would be allowed to enter back on Twitter, in case he’s acquitted of his charges of inciting violence in the Capitol on January 6th.
In case he is acquitted, Trump would be allowed to enter in future bids for the presidency or any other position of federal office. But that also means he won’t be allowed on Twitter.
Twitter took bold steps last month when it opted to bar Donald Trump from its platform. The news came as his supporters stormed the historic US Capitol building. The incident left 5 people dead and dozens injured.
Hence, Twitter claimed how it intended to permanently suspend Donald Trump’s account due to the further risk of inciting violence.
