A mum received the most hurtful comments from viewers after she shared her 2-year-old toddler’s lunchbox.
In what is being described as one of the most ‘cruelly shamed’ incidents ever, the mother couldn’t believe the backlash that surrounded her picture.
Meanwhile, as some referred to her packed lunchbox as delicious, others didn’t quite see that. Instead, they called her out for adding several dangerous choking hazards. But what exactly did it contain that left others furious?
Well, the picture showed a box that came packed with an array of snacks. This includes shredded cheese, pretzel sticks, apple slices, pigs in a blanket. raisins, and a handful of nuts.
Some were quick to give her click some love, referring to it as awesome. On the contrary, there was a fair share of harsh lines too. All in all, the criticism was plenty in number.
One viewer commented on how the food appeared great. They also said nut butter is a better option for kids, while whole nuts for a two-year-old spells disaster and is very dangerous.
Another critic raised their voice, saying how it looked good overall. However, peanuts are certainly not acceptable, telling the mother to give whatever she’s comfortable with. But they did end their comment with how nuts serve as choking hazards, no matter what age toddlers are.
A third commenter appeared enraged with fury. “It is really annoying that parents don’t see the real risk or believe it will never happen to them.” Yikes, how’s that for some criticism from a complete stranger?
According to scientific research statistics, the majority of kids’ choking cases relate to food or tiny objects. And that stems from the fact that kids’ windpipes aren’t developed properly. In the same way, they are still too young to master the art of chewing food and the swallowing techniques too.
