Anthony Fauci is among the Nominees of the Time magazine’s “Person of The Year” for his work during the pandemic.
The magazine’s jury nominated the names of essential workers and medical staff, including Dr. Fauci, who rendered his unconditional services throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The magazine put a poll on their website on Wednesday to take public votes for the winner. The viewers have to vote yes or no under each nominee for the question, whether they should win this year’s award or not. There are 80 nominees in total, and you can vote yes for all the 80 candidates if you wish. According to the sources, the winner will be announced on December 10 by Time’s editors’ panel.

Joe Biden got 64% of the yes and 36% no votes; his vice-president Kamala Harris, on the other hand, defeated him by getting 68% yes votes. On the contrary, the opposition party didn’t perform well; Trump succeeded in getting only 8% yes votes, and his vice-president just 3%. 92% of the people voted no for Trump.
The royal power couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also are among the nominees. Meghan got 26% while Harry got 20% yes votes.
Some major social media platform owners were also on the list, with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg getting 3%, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos getting 6%, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey getting 8%, and Zoom CEO getting 10% of the yes votes.point 310 |
