A felon left a British mother heartbroken after stealing the Christmas gifts she bought for her disabled child.
21-year-old Courtney Farnell was exhausted after returning home to find that someone has robbed all the Christmas gifts she had bought for her daughter. She said she was at a complete loss of words when she entered her ransacked home with her 16-month-old daughter. Farnell was planning to give her daughter the best Christmas surprise this year, but the incident destroyed all her plans.
She worked so hard to earn money and buy presents for her family, and when the day was just a few hours away, someone came and took everything away. Farnell said the thieves didn’t steal from her, but they stole the dreams and happiness of her little child. She left home for 30 minutes and came back to know about this immense loss.
The presents that were worth $5000 included a laptop, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, a camera, and many more Christmas gifts for the daughter and relatives.
She was shattered after seeing all the things robbed, which she earned after putting blood and sweat into her work.
The little daughter struggles with epilepsy, brain damage, global developmental delays, and many other medical problems.“I don’t know how many Christmases I will get to celebrate with my daughter. I wanted to give her the best surprise a mother can give,” said the heartbroken mum. She was so sad as she spent the whole year planning for the surprise and in the end, she was left with nothing.
She pleaded for help, and people were kind and generous enough to help her. She successfully gathered $4000 by 25th December and was touched by the affection of people. “Thank you. Thank you to all of you who helped. It saved our Christmas,” she said.
