A teacher from Oklahoma was recently charged with rape after sleeping with her student.
26-year-old Andee Lantz was arrested on December 18th. And that’s when she admitted to cops about having sex with her 16-year-old student. In addition, she confirmed how she carried out the crime not only once but twice or thrice on separate occasions.
The teacher’s allegations were recorded and kept in her court documents, which were received by a local media outlet recently.
Authorities started an investigation into the case when a nude photo of the special education teacher started circulating around the school. When cops confronted her about the serious matter, she admitted to her crime.
In the same way, the school’s superintendent also confronted Lantz over the inappropriate pictures, before authorities stepped in. But at that time, she refused to admit her crime. Instead, she and that very same student that she was seeing, denied any involvement.
They reassured the officials in the start that there was nothing going on. Thereby, they brushed it all off as rumors. However, with time, Lantz realized that the situation was taking a turn for the worse. And that’s when she decided to confess.
Lantz explained how her relationship with the teen began after they both attended a homecoming game. At that time, they were just, ‘riding around’ and the student kissed her. And that’s how one thing led to another, explained the teacher.
Meanwhile, investigators of the case described how at least one of the couple’s sexual appearances took place at Lantz’s residence in Carnegie. At that time, the age of the student was only 16. With that said, sexual relationships between students and teachers are termed illegal in the state.
In mid-November, Lantz resigned from the school. However, on December 23rd, she was released on a $15,000 bail with second-degree rape charges against her name.
The next court session is due in March, as the recent unveiling of the court records showed.
