A primary teacher from Florida is making heads turn after claiming that she earns more than £15,000 from selling her breast milk online.
After delivering a surrogate baby to another couple, 32 year Julie Dennis came up the fantastic idea in 2019. Moreover, she exclaims how her entrepreneurial idea is making her a fortune and she’s loving it.
Once the little baby turned six months old, and hence didn’t need the mother’s milk, she thought why not sell it separately for others.point 116 | And on that note, she began offers for as low as 90 cents per pound.point 170 | Her target audience included those families with newborns, also born through a surrogate.point 247 |

Julie is a primary teacher for a school in Florida and she says that producing milk is giving her a lot of revenue. Meanwhile, she expresses how the earning is equal to doing a full-time job. However, she does admit that it’s all not all a fairytale affair.
Yes, Julie admits to getting plenty of backlash. Mostly, it’s from those who disapprove of the idea of making money from selling breastmilk.
Meanwhile, the mother of two isn’t too bothered by it all. She expresses how her ‘perfect uterus’ and ‘perfect breast milk’ is helping plenty of others along the way. Hence, she claims that she might as well use it.
‘It’s not surprising to get all sorts of shame-filled comments across the board,’ the 32-year-old says. But she claims it’s not all about money. However, she feels that if it’s worth it for her and her family then she plans to continue it.
On the other hand, the Florida mom says that it’s not easy to sit with a pump for hours. It takes away time from her family. Likewise, she spends a lot of time cleaning, sterilizing, and bagging the pump’s parts too.
Julie calls it as the ‘labor of love’ and with around 15,000 ounces pumped for two babies so far, she is reaching milestones. Let’s not forget the weird requests she gets from males who want proof that it’s ‘breastmilk.’ And on that note, she has no choice but to block them.
Today, the smart mom is doing well for herself. She created a small savings account and plans to pursue it further.
