Authorities have released new images pertaining to the heartbreaking case in which a suspect allegedly stomped on an Asian man in East Harlem recently.
The horrifying images reveal the identity of the stomper who shows zero guilt or remorse while carrying out the brutal attack upon a 61-year-old Chinese American man. Recent reports went on the show how the victim is currently in a critical state as he battles against life in a coma.
The incident was not the first of its kind with many racially themed incidents picking up pace in the US. However, it was definitely the latest addition to the series of attacks carried out by those who oppose Asian individuals, confirmed reports.
In the surveillance footage which is now going viral since Sunday, the suspect adorns a giant baseball cap, pairing it with a black-toned jacket. Here, he is observed speaking to another individual at a deli, exactly one hour before he embarks upon his gruesome bashing.
In another clip, he was also identified as walking on the streets of New York.
Relevant authorities identified the victim as Yao Pan Ma who the cops claim were attacked from the back by about 8:20 pm on Friday. The innocent man was busy collecting cans, claimed authorities. Moreover, his exact location was identified as 3rd Avenue upon 125th Street.
Police officers handling the investigations went on to add how the suspect brutally kicked the victim in the head, not letting go for a second. The entire time, the American Chinese man was on the ground.
Currently, he is enlisted as a critically ill patient at the Harlem Hospital but has also been put under a medically induced coma by relevant medical experts. Therefore, his health is being monitored continuously.
Meanwhile, the victim’s wife was identified as 57-year-old Baozhen Chen, who mentioned to local media outlets on Sunday how she feared the worst for her husband, explaining her fears relating to how he may not be able to survive the heinous crime.
She also spoke about how he used to collect cans to make ends meet after losing his job at a famous Chinese eatery in Manhattan.
