The tragic news of the 34-years old Sushan Singh Rajput committing suicide has engulfed not only Bollywood but the whole nation of India.
The actor was found hanging in his Bandra house in Mumbai.
The small-town boy Sushant Singh had made a special place in Bollywood after his successful role on a small screen with a lead role in ‘Pavitra Rishta’. His brilliant acting skills had stimulated big producers and directors to hire him for the lead role in their films.
He has worked in popular movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, PK, and Kai Po Che! Which was filmed on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘The Three Mistakes of My Life’. His illustrious performance in the movie took his career to altogether another height of limelight.
It is rumored that the actor has thrown a party only one night before with his friends and he had not returned home, which was quite usual for him, according to his domestic help. However, when he was not seen the next day till noon, his helper tried to open the door but was met with silence.
He then summoned his friends only to find him out hanging from the ceiling as they broke the door open. The police found all his friends and helpers at home when they arrived.
Talking about the potential cause of his suicide, Sushant Singh’s friends mentioned his ongoing treatment for his depression. The actor was suffering from extreme clinical depression for the past 6-months. He had posted about missing his mother only a few days back.
The news has sent a shockwave to the entire Bollywood industry and celebrities are expressing their grief and unresting sentiments on Twitter as Akshay Kumar said Singh acted so brilliantly in his last movie ‘Chhichhore’ that he wished he was a part of it.
The Bollywood fraternity is praying for the family of Sushant Singh Rajput, who left one grieving father, one elder brother and 2 sisters behind him.
