In Beijing China, a college student surnamed Lau, stabbed his roommate in the middle of the night while the rest of their roommates were sleeping.
Oriental Daily reported that Lau, Wong, Xiao Tian, and other boys lived together in one room at the hostel of their college.
During the incident, Xiao Tian was sound asleep but he was awakened by some loud noises at around 4 am.
Xiao Tian said that he was certain that it was Wong’s voice and that he was yelling for help, then he heard Lau shouting: “I’m going to stab you to death!”
Xiao Tian quickly turned on the lights and that’s when he saw Wong grappling against Lau who was trying to stab him with a knife.
After the lights were on, Lau was shocked and looked at everyone in the room including Xiao Tian for a brief second, he then calmly left the room with the knife covered in blood and went to the bathroom.
A few moments later, Lau came back to the hostel room with no intention to escape or hurt anyone and just sat on his bunk bed and told Xiao Tian: “It’s not easy to kill someone.”
Police officers rushed to the hostel and handcuffed Lau without any incident. According to Xiao Tian, Lau did not show fear or remorse on his face throughout the arrest.
Meanwhile, Wong sustained multiple cuts on his head, chest, and mouth, his eyes were allegedly punched so his eyeballs were badly injured. Reports say that the victim almost went blind.
“He wasn’t going to let me live, and he wanted to die with me,” Wong said and revealed that Lau had once injured a student using a beer bottle and he was chased out of the hostel afterward.
“This guy (Lau) is really troublesome at night; he’d grind his teeth, fart, and snore. I hope he gets jailed for a few more years,” Wong added.
A day before the attack, Wong reportedly sat down and talked with Lau about moving to another room because all their roommates cannot stand Lau’s sleeping habits, in which he replied with a smirk and said, “You just wait and see.”
The next day, a brutal attack happened.
According to Lau’s former teacher, he is not a bad student but does have psychological problems.
