As an employee at Brass Rail strip club tests positive with coronavirus, the authorities have requested all the 500 people who recently visited the club to quarantine for 14-days in Toronto.
The club establishment contacted everyone on their log sheet to inform them of the unfortunate incident and ask them to go in self-isolation for 14-days.
The club got shut the moment the administration realized one of the workers got the virus. Brass Rail also posted a picture on their social media page of a strip dancer with the announcement of the news. However, it is not sure yet if the employee who tested positive is a strip dancer or other worker.
Commenting on the news, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he is wondering what kind of conversation these people will have with their spouses when they go home. He also said he would not want to be on the other end of this news.
A lot of people are sharing their comments on social media about how the families are going to react to the findings of this bizarre news.
The list of people who are made aware are only those who provided their information on log sheet upon the entry.
According to the authorities, the worker who tested positive worked on August 4, 5,7,8. The associate medical officer of health, Dr. Vanita Dubey, said the club has been sent a notification on not complying with the rules. She also said that the city administration is trying hard to ensure the SOPs are followed.
On the contrary, the club said in a statement that they are taking all the measures necessary to keep everyone’s safety in priority. It was just one isolated case that they contained immediately.
The rest of the club’s employees were tested negative. As per the club’s statement, they did it without anyone’s direction.
