According to reports, a math teacher from Vietnam put forward a challenge for his own class full of 3rd graders. And that means young and fresh 8-year-old minds. While the problem seems seemingly simple, many adults fail to find a solution to the arithmetic sum for obvious reasons. They believe it’s too simple and hence end up making the silliest mistakes.

You need to plug in numbers that range from 1 to 9. However, you can only use each number once, putting them into the neat blank spaces. Next, using the outlined operations and mentioned inserted values, the correct answer would ultimately lead to the solution which is 66.

While the solutions are plenty, the math teacher put up the first one that he came up with. And that was: 6,9,3,5,2,1,7,8, and 4. It’s in that particular order.
The easiest way to get to it was by assigning each blank to a particular letter and then writing out the whole sequence as a long equation. Next, you need to group the terms.
So… a+13(b/c)+d+12e-f+(gh/i)-21=66
Then, you need to add 21 to both of the sides. Therefore, that results in a+d-f+13(b/c)+12e+(gh/i)=87.
