Ted Cruz and 10 other Republican senators are putting forward every attempt to block Joe Biden’s victory certification.
News reports suggest how they will join Senator Josh Hawley’s Wednesday attempt at hindering the current President-elect, Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 US elections.
In addition, they plan on demanding an emergency audit for the election results in the US. This will coincide with the alleged reports of ‘voter’ fraud in certain states of the nation.
The group, which is led by Senator Cruz released a public press statement on the matter on Saturday. It said, “We do not take this action lightly. We are acting not to thwart the democratic process, but rather wish to protect it,” they claimed.
This announcement follows several weeks of agitation as well as legal action from President Donald Trump.point 205 |

Meanwhile, the Electoral College declared Biden’s win on December 14th, announcing a 306 to 232 vote. In addition, multiple courts have gone further to reject the President’s claims regarding election fraud too.
President Trump was very quick at cheering up the audit plan. He hinted that it would actually expose enough proof that could convince those that had doubts about his claims.
In the same way, he backed up the senator’s move via a series of tweets on social media, hashtagged with #stopthesteal.
Here, Trump wrote, “And after they see the facts, there is plenty more to come.” The statement mentioned all of the senators names who objected to the current election result standing. In addition, the president wrote, “Our country will love them for it!”
The 11 senators will join in on the efforts of Missouri’s Hawley, who intends to back up around 140 House Republicans that look to overturn all of the Electoral College’s results. However, only time will tell how successful they are at their mission.
