A school in Derbyshire is being called out with massive protests by parents and other members of the community when news broke out about how it blatantly refused to allow a young child suffering from a disease to cover up her baldness with a cap or a hoodie.
13-year-old Ella Goodwin claims she feels uncomfortable while wearing a wig, right after she lost patches of her hair, owing to her illness. Moreover, recently, the pupil was called out with claims regarding how she needs to adhere to her policy of uniform and now wear anything else, including hats when on campus.
The school was reportedly identified as Derbyshire’s Heritage High. But after facing the immense amount of criticism from members of the community as well as the child’s parents and other parents of school kids too, the school has now reportedly gone back on their words and taken back their new policy.
Ella Goodwin was reportedly battling a severe form of chronic multifocal osteomyelitis for the past two years.point 204 |

In the same way, Ella also spoke about how difficult it was for her to wear a wig to her classes. “It just felt super uncomfortable,” she admits. “I was losing so much hair, thanks to my sickness, it was in giant patches but I was strictly told to adhere to the school’s policy,” she revealed sadly.
The only way the school tried to cooperate was enforcing young Ella to wear a wig and speak to other students who adopt the same policy. They felt that this would help make her feel more comfortable.
