A furious protest has erupted after a county school in Westchester, New York blamed a teen girl for being negligent after she was reportedly raped by a fellow student.
The 14-year-old teen girl hails from New Rochelle, a Westchester-based high school, where she was allegedly choked and raped by her horrifying bully at the school’s stairwell, confirmed reports. But now, she is getting all the blame for the gruesome attack by the school’s district lawyers who believe it is her own fault.
Moreover, they even went to the extent of calling her negligent and hence believe is responsible for causing the attack upon herself.
For this reason, both students, as well as parents, began protesting outside of the educational institution which is situated in Westchester County, New York. The news comes as a part of the response to the lawsuit filed by the victim, sources revealed.
Details into the investigation revealed the terrifying moment where the student was literally grabbed and dragged by her throat, where the rapist slammed her near a staircase and raped her while choking her too. This particular criminal act took place in March of 2020 with the rapist having a past history that showed how he constantly bullied her.
The entire incident took place as the victim yelled and screamed ‘No,’ as revealed by the case’s court documents. Moreover, the gruesome video was obtained from the security camera that was installed near the staircase and hence was able to capture the entire footage of the crime.
Immediately after the incident, police arrested the suspect within a few days as news of the alleged rape incident went viral. However, reports mentioned that the records pertaining to the case were sealed as the offender was a juvenile, confirmed by the police.
However, the chilling news about how the school’s lawyers behaved is beyond comprehensible to many. The fact that they blamed the victim for being negligent made many raise eyebrows. Therefore, the victim and her mom are now suing the school for the relevant damages which are yet to be publicized.
