A young boy burst into tears after a Santa Claus told him that he wouldn’t give him a Nerf gun at Christmas.
Sabella DeCarlo visited Santa Claus with her son at Harlem Irving Plaza in Norridge, Illinois, on Sunday, December 6. The mother rushed to comfort her son after he started moaning as the Santa refused to bring him a Nerf gun.
The furious mum took the matter to Facebook and slammed the Santa for making the child cry for the sake of his personal beliefs. One of the mall’s representatives took notice of the matter and apologized to the woman. He also confirmed that Santa had been dismissed from his job.
The incident was filmed, and the video shows Santa and the child talking to each other with a Plexiglass barrier in between.
The child was sitting at a 6-meter distance from Santa and asked him for a Nerf-gun as a Christmas gift. The Santa straightaway said no to his request and said he wouldn’t bring him a gun. The mother, who was watching this, jumped into the conversation and said, “He is asking for a Nerf gun.
” The Santa remained adhered to his statement and said, “Not even Nerf gun.” A Nerf Gun is a toy gun with discs, foam balls, or darts in place of bullets.
The Santa further told the boy that he has so many other toys such as bicycles, cars, legos, trucks.
He said he could wish for anything except a gun. He added that “You can request your dad to bring you a Nerf gun, but I’m not going to bring it.”As soon as the child heard this, he started crying. The mother hugged him and said she would buy him a gun, but he kept whining.
The mother was so disappointed by the attitude of Santa. She said this was the first time Michael went to see a Santa, and he was so excited about this. “I couldn’t see the tears in my son’s eyes, and I had to tell him that this is not the real Santa,” she wrote.
