Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had a word via phone call and chief executives of both these countries expressed their concerns over the issue that has kept everyone petrified these days.
As it’s pretty much evident that the United States is one of the worst affectees of COVID-19 and it has gone through immense turbulence henceforth. Russia is also not safe from the menace of coronavirus but if we try to compare the stats, the situation is still favorable for Russia and North America deserves more of our commiseration.
Just for a reminder; people infected with coronavirus in the States are 258, 611 and over 6,000 people have lost their lives to this ungodly virus. On the other hand, Russia has over 1500 COVID-19 patients.
In this difficult time, Russia came up with the offer of 60 tons of medical supplies and the USA did not hesitate to concede to it. You cannot really call it an aid or help because as per the North American officials, they have paid the dues for this massive equipment that would help the medical workforce accomplish their targets.
The crux of the issue is, this decision made by two of them has been sternly criticized by the people of their respective countries. The Russians are cribbing about the shortage of medical supplies in their own country while the American establishment actors and thinkers are calling it a ploy.
The masses in the USA are already much averse to the Russian chief executive, Vladimir Putin. They think it’s Putin’s modus operandi and that it’s not new for him to use the tools of deception to bring his notorious plans to fruition. The masses are convinced that this sort of deal will tip the scales in favor of Russia, hence, Trump’s decision has been remarkably frowned upon.
