However, it came at a mighty cost. According to reports, the team of firefighters arrived around 4:45 pm. As a volunteer attempted to help a rat out, he received a not so welcoming present. And that’s when the fat rodent bit inside one of the firefighter’s gloves. The incident caused damage to the rat’s tooth. Hence, he started to bleed profusely on the spot.

But how did the rescuers take the rodent out? Reports confirmed that the firefighters executed each of their steps well. They lifted the giant manhole cover. As a result, this paved way for the rodent’s escape. Soon, they made use of a wooden wedge to push the rodent from below.

The entire rescue operation lasted for an hour. At that point in time, the rodent fell inside the animal retrieval or rescue box. Luckily, the firefighters placed the box beneath the cover. And that assisted their entire operation.

In 2019, a similar incident took place when rescue teams received reports regarding a rat stuck inside a drain. Therefore, authorities dispatched a large team of 9 firefighters to the exact location. Upon arrival, the fire brigade saw a large, flabby creature, wriggling around.
