Famous Hollywood actor, Rick Moranis, suffered a gruesome attack while on the streets of the Upper West Side.
According to reports, he received a massive blow to his head by a random stranger.
Meanwhile, the entire incident’s details went viral as video footage regarding the attack made rounds. Police confirmed that the shocking attack took place on Friday.
67 years old, Moranis, was minding his own business, walking through the streets of Central Park West. The exact location pinpointed by reports included West 70th Street. In addition, they claimed that the star was making his way towards his residence.
The random stranger, donning an ‘I Love New York T-shirt’, slugged him from nowhere. And on that occasion, he fell to the ground, around 7:30 am. Police made the startling revelations after obtaining CCTV surveillance from that area.
A representative from Moranis’ side confirmed to news agencies how the ‘Honey I Shrunk The Kids’ actor underwent a massive assault.
The exact statement released to the public stated how Rick Moranis received a sucker punch, aimed at his head. Although he’s fine, he is very grateful to all those checking on him. Meanwhile, the cops released the surveillance footage. It shows a man in a thug-like getup, wearing a black sweatshirt, attacking the star. Reports confirmed how the massive blow really shook the actor.
