A video circulating on social media showing an unlike gesture of friendship between a cat and mouse is talk of the town now. A mouse hides beneath a cat after being chased. The snuggling rodent and feline, found on the street of China, had caught everyone’s attention.
Social media users are comparing the rodent and feline with two cartoon characters, Tom and Jerry. No matter how much the two characters fight and tease each other, they are always there for each other at the time of need.
This love-hate relationship seems to reflect in the footage, which captured a real-life incident.
The video was recorded on Sunday by a bystander in Xiangang, a city in central China. The video shows a black cat chasing a little mouse scampering around the road. The chasing cat, however, didn’t seem to have ill intentions towards the mouse.
The cat suddenly stopped chasing and lay down on the roadside. Rodent, upon seeing this from a little distance, started running towards the cat and started cuddling, to which the cat also responded friendly. The unusual move by the mouse left the viewers in awe.
People on social media enjoyed the friendship moments between the two and said, “It feels so good to see Tom and Jerry in real life.” People all around are also commenting, “love has no boundaries. It will reach you no matter what is your color, race, and now even species. ”
The animal experts, however, have a different perspective. According to them, animals commit such acts under intense fear and shock to stop the prey.
