The Queen sat all by herself at the St George’s Chapel as she bid a final farewell to her beloved husband of 73 great years.
She was captured wiping away her tears as she accompanied Prince Philip’s coffin. Moreover, Prince Charles was also observed in an emotional stance as he also wiped away his tears, alongside his siblings as they all followed the coffin. The casket made its way into the church as Prince Philip was finally laid to rest.
Meanwhile, it was all eyes on Prince Harry and Prince William who are known to be feuding. This was the first time when they both saw each other, ever since the breakthrough ‘Megxit’ that took place last year.
Her Majesty was seen wiping away her tears as she bowed her head, right in front of her husband’s coffin. Moreover, the grief-stricken royals all looked emotional as they bid their final goodbyes to the Duke in what is being called a poignant ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Prince Philip’s eldest son, Prince Charles, was observed crying as he stood behind his father’s casket, which entered into the church, followed by a line of grieving royals too.
The Duke’s casket was draped in his customized standard, carrying his naval cap, sword, and a wreath of flowers.
Several pallbearers then lowered down his coffin into his famously self-designed and extraordinary vehicle known as the ‘Land Rover’ hearse.
The entire vicinity was packed with several hundred armed personnel as the funeral was solely an exclusive and intimate affair.Soon, the casket was then lowered down into the famous Royal Vault as the lament started playing by a single piper who belonged to the Royal Regiment of Scotland. The Archbishop of Canterbury announced the Blessing, right before the line of 30 mourners from the Royal family lined up silently and exited the chapel.
Both Harry and William were observed walking back with Kate, smiling and speaking animatedly. This is the first time that they were both reunited after spending more than a year apart.
