Queen Is ‘Sad Not Angry’ Over Harry And Meghan Interview

Sources reveal that the Queen is “sad, not angry” at her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle after the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a series of stunning allegations during their sit-down with Oprah, with one claiming that an unspecified member of the royal family had raised “concerns” over how dark their unborn son Archie’s skin would be.

The 94-year-old monarch had ordered a private family investigation over the matter, taking personal control on healing the bitter divide exposed during the tell-all.

“She is not angry, she is just sad,” the source said about the Queen, adding that Her Royal Highness privately said not to be livid with the Sussexes.

“They have always worried about him (Harry) and the Queen feels very protective about him,” the source continued.

“They always tried to support him when Meghan came along. They all worried less about him when Meghan was on the scene as he seemed so happy.”.

After the bombshell interview, Buckingham Palace released a statement that said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.”

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members,” the statement concluded.

In the interview, Prince Harry revealed that the relationship between him and his grandmother was “really good” and that the two spoke often.

However, he admitted that his relationship with his father and brother had taken a sour turn and claimed that the brothers are ‘trapped’ in the Royal Family.

The 36-year-old monarch added that the family’s “lack of support and understanding” led to his decision to leave.
