Famous Right-Wing Activist group, Proud Boys, joined hands for a protest against the closure of a famed Staten Island Bar.
According to reports, hundreds of protestors gathered together, late Wednesday night. And they were here for one cause and one cause only. Moreover, it was appalling to see how members of the famous Right Wing group, Proud Boys, also made their way towards the protest.
The crowd chanted slogans against law enforcement authorities who sealed a famous Staten Island Bar.
According to media sources, the pub violated the state’s COVID-19 restrictions. In particular, they continued to allow customers indoors while providing booze. This was all taking place, despite the recent ban during the pandemic.
Upon their entry, numerous protestors started yelling out loud, ‘Proud Boys in the house.’ Soon the members made their way into the crowds, situated right outside Mac’s Public House.
The pub continued to violate COVID-19 restrictions. For that reason, authorities had no other option but to shut it down on Tuesday night. Moreover, reports confirmed how the pub operated without a license too. Hence, they were putting plenty of others at risk, including themselves.
One bold speaker led the massive crowd of protestors ahead. He yelled, ‘I am a proud Western Chauvinist,’ and that was right before he segued into the star Queen’s anthem, ‘We Will Rock You.’
On the other hand, dozens of sheriffs blocked the pub’s entrance on Wednesday night.
A number of protesters verbally targeted them too. Therefore, it wasn’t uncommon to hear sayings like: “Where is your backbone? Where is your morality?” Unsurprisingly, you could hear such sounds resounding via a speakerphone, left and right.
The Sheriff’s Department took prompt measures against the noted pub and its violations. And that’s when they sealed the pub, a night before. This also included an arrest of the pub’s co-owner, Daniel Presti.
Besides, the business enjoyed self-labeling itself in an ‘autonomous zone.’ In reality, the business functioned in the coronavirus ‘orange zone.
’ Businesses in this category can only allow outdoor dining or takeout. However, the pub was doing everything but that. Above all, the pub violated rules for the 10 pm curfew.
For all of these reasons, authorities had no other option but to seal the bar for disobeying state orders.
