Portland authorities say that two of their officers were taken to hospital after a large rock nearly 10-pounds in the weight throw at them by the protestors.
According to the reports, the incident happened on Saturday during the 79th night of clashes in the city of roses, and it was done by the protestors who had the word “press” on their shirts or on clothes.
According to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), Portland Fire & Rescue treated two cops who were severely injured because of the rock that was thrown at them by the angry protestors.
Department further states while talking to media on Sunday that some people in the riot were shouting, “Kill a cop, save a life, and claim that the rock was thrown by someone who was wearing a shirt saying “press.”
And the other chats against the cops were included ‘What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now! If we don’t get it, burn it down!’”
PPB further states that the angry protestors were not throwing only rocks but frozen eggs, plastic bottles, frozen water bottles to hurt the cops. Demonstrators were also flashing green lasers at them, which is illegal in Oregon.

Portland police say that the participants are allegedly are breaking into the offices of Portland police Associations, vandalizing them and setting the fire. Police have not released any more details regarding two injured cops, but they say that they will release the statistics of how many arrests have been made.
