Professor Who Was Disciplined For NOT Using “Trans Pronouns” Says He Sued The College To Avoid Being FIRED


The famous Christian college professor who won the case against a school that forced him to address trans students is back.

Professor Nicholas Meriwether boldly went ahead and declined the trans student’s request of using feminine pronouns as he felt it was something that he did not personally believe in and it went against his religious beliefs too. Hence, he decided that he would not indulge in the act.

Moreover, the professor went against the school’s rules who demanded he obey the student’s request but despite the countless warnings being sent his way, the professor did not back down.

Despite receiving the warning from the Shawnee State University over the entire episode, the professor instead opted to file a lawsuit against the incident. But not too many people were hopeful about his winning success. However, they were all wrong as a recent court decision revealed his success in the case.

Recently, the teacher appeared on a Fox News show where he spoke about his decision. In addition, he talked about how the Ohio court ruled that he now had the freedom to sue the college for further damages if he wished. But what made him sue in the first place in a question on many people’s minds.

Therefore, the professor took this opportunity to reveal in person what actually went on in his head. “I was suing so that I could make a stand against the great loss of academic freedom that results due to issues like these,” he mentioned.

According to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, Meriwether had every right to freedom of speech as well as religion. It went on to state how the college punished him for resisting their rules of addressing students by words of their personal choosing.

Meriwether explained how he made the decision because in case he didn’t he would have been fired for sure. Most importantly, he felt the need to sue to send a loud and clear message across to the masses as well.

The professor also spoke about how the country is currently at a crossroads in terms of losing the great freedom to disagree. And he certainly hopes that can change before it’s too late.
