The Middletons, Michael, and Carole are a huge anchor of support for Kate and Prince William.
The two also play a big role in their grandchildren’s lives.
Kate grew up very close to her family. It is reported that Michael and Carole Middleton were hands-on parents, and the Middletons enjoyed their family life altogether.
When the now Duchess of Cambridge started dating Prince William, Kate introduced the future King to her family and grew closer together. It is safe to say that a family bond was formed after their first get-together.
It is believed that over the years, Kate’s parents have been very supportive to the Prince, and he is believed to genuinely enjoy the normality at the Middleton’s home brings.
Because the Prince felt deeply connected with Carole and Michael, William reportedly made sure his family was welcoming to Kate before their marriage in 2011.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Ok Magazine that Carole and Michael Middleton are the Cambridge’s “anchor”.
“It’s a real sense of normality amid any chaos,” Nicholl said. “William has always loved spending time with all the Middletons as it’s his escapism.”
“He’s close to Carole and Michael and always insisted the royal family treat them well, which the Queen has done,” she added. “She welcomed them with open arms.”
Pippa Middleton, Kate’s sister, acted as the maid of honor at their royal wedding, carrying her bridal train as she walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey.
The rest of the Middletons were also in the official wedding photos and with the royals in the Buckingham Palace balcony to wave to well-wishers.
