A woman from Oregon was spotted holding a suspected arsonist at gunpoint until police arrives at her property.
Kat Cast detained the man whom she claims to have seen with matches in his hand, and threatened that he was going to start a fire on her property.
A video of the incident shows Cast driving up to the man, gets out of the vehicle holding a handgun, and walks over to an unidentified man ordering him to get on the ground.
“What are you doing on my property?” asks Cast, “Did you light anything on fire?”
The man says he was “just passing through,” but Cast claims the man had threated to start a fire on her property, which is why she decided to make sure the man gets arrested.
When asked about the matches, the man responded that he smokes, yet he did not have any cigarettes with him.
“If I need to do this again to protect my family and my neighbors, I will in a heartbeat do it again, except this time I will not be as nice as I was,” Cast said in a post.
She also revealed that people had been accusing her of faking the whole incident.
“I read all your messages to me, even the private ones, I can tell you that this truly did happen and there is nothing fake about it,” he said.
“I do not wish to speak to anyone, it doesn’t matter to me if it’s a journalist who wants to put it out on the news, I will not put my family in danger by exposing myself any more than what I have already, besides the media will just twist my words.”
The incident comes days after a man has allegedly started a brush fire with a Molotov cocktail.
