Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking for a new housekeeper to work for them at the Kensington Palace.
According to the Royal Vacancies website, they are looking for “an experienced person to assist in Royal residences.”
The family had also stressed in the advert that it is imperative for the new team member to be able to maintain confidentiality, as well as to exercise discretion at all times.
The full time position also requires someone who is “able to manage a varied workload, show initiative, be content to work flexibly, including being able to travel.”
While the salary for the job has not been listed, the advert assures that the position is an opportunity to “develop your own knowledge and skills,” for someone who is a “self-starter who also enjoys working collaboratively.”
Interested applicants are must complete an application on the Royal Household careers website on or before November 7, 2020.
The latest job posting comes after another posted earlier this week, for a new household staff to work for the Queen at the Windsor Castle.
The full-time apprenticeship offers a starting salary of £19,140 a year and a generous package of 33 days holiday, but requires candidates to gain a qualification in English and Maths.
The successful applicant is expected to work either at the Windsor Castle or at Buckingham Palace but will also be sent to other residences throughout the year.
The post stated, “You’ll gain specialist technical skills that will form the foundations of your housekeeping career, as well as providing you with an understanding of the wider hospitality profession.”
Candidates are also offered the opportunity to live in the palace, with meals and travel expenses are to be adjusted to the salary.
The advert comes weeks after the Queen reportedly went furious over the Royal Household staff for revolting against a plan for them to stay in a coronavirus bubble at Sandringham over Christmas.
