The world is paying tribute to the oldest female skydiver who passed away at age 88.
Moreover, she completed a jaw dropping record of 1139 solo jumps from a parachute. This record breaking title has many people at a complete standstill.
The former teacher from Cardiff, Dilys Price, became a famous Guinness World Record holder when she indulged in her solo jump in 2013, from a parachute.
Meanwhile, at age 54, she embarked upon another daredevil journey. This comprised of a staggering 1139 solo themed parachute jumps and it had the world talking. All of these records took place in several different parts of the world.
The mighty jumper explained how she had a constant fear of heights. However it soon faded away when she attempted the scary adventure for the very first time. From that day onwards, one thing led to another. And it’s safe to say that she simply couldn’t see her life without it.
Despite her record breaking and heroic adventures, she was truly much more than meets the eye. This includes her love for background dance and her passion for NGO related work. Soon enough, she even found a charity called Touch Trust.
The charity aimed to find an effective platform for those with disabilities, alongside other vulnerable members of society.
In the year 2003, Price received due recognition for her hard work and relentless efforts. Therefore, it came in the form of an OBE award for all her services towards special needs people. On the other hand, she received more recognition in 2017 for the Pride of Britain Awards too.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say how she touched so many lives with her incredible personality and charismatic aura. And as many people explain, she was truly one of those who were living life to the absolute fullest.
