Mother Of Three And A Female Officer Admits Having A Sexual Relationship With The Baby Killer


A female prison officer admitted that she had a sexual relationship with a convicted double murderer – who killed his girlfriend and their baby daughter.

The 32-year-old Lauren McIntyre, is a mother of twin 11-week-old babies and a five-year-old child, was claimed guilty to four counts of delinquency in a public office, alongside supporting the beating of a fellow prison officer by her lover.

Lauren said that she started the affair with prisoner Andrew Roberts in an attempt to reveal intelligence, but then it went out of control.

Andrew Roberts was found guilty for choking Louise L’Homme and their 8-month-old daughter Tia to death at their home in Rhondda, South Wales, in 2003.

He escaped from the scene and was arrested five days later.

Roberts was 22 years old when he was sentenced to two life terms at Swansea Crown Court and has been imprisoned at HMP Isle of Wight’s Albany Prison.

Lauren McIntyre admitted that she had a sexual relationship with Roberts. She also mentioned failing to report to the prison authorities that Roberts had a mobile phone, giving him her phone number and communicating with him via mobile phone, and sending him a photo of herself.

She also claimed to be guilty of trying to allow him to transfer money into her bank account.

Furthermore, she admitted giving to her prisoner lover the phone number of fellow prison officer Samuel Laidler, allowing him to assault and failing to warn officer Laidler or the prison authorities of the forthcoming beating.

Briony Molyneux said that McIntyre admitted she had a sexual relationship with the prisoner; it did not involve sexual intercourse, although small incidents of touching yes.

Judge Gibney said that these are serious matters and will be dealt with appropriately.

Lauren McIntyre was given a conditional release on the condition she must stay at her home address.

She will be adjudicated at the Isle of Wight Crown Court in January.
