Former US President Barack Obama called out the Capitol rioters who waved traitorous flags of the Confederate at the violent DC siege.
According to media reports, the former president talked about how there was a clear difference between Martin Luther King Jr. and all the MAGA rioters that waved away the Confederate flags. In addition, Obama urged his fellow American citizens to be true to all of Martin Luther King Jr’s values, to mark the occasion of the slain leader’s birthday recently.
Barack Obama added how he felt that if there was truly anyone who held the right to question whether or not the country’s democracy was worth redeeming, it was the civil rights leader. In addition, Mr. Obama shared a personal picture of himself, standing next to the leader’s Washington monument.
The former US president mentioned how Martin Luther King Jr never gain into violence, no matter how stressful situations may be.
In addition, he talked about how King never waved away a traitorous flag or gave up on the US nation either.
