The New York Police Department has released surveillance video that shows a portion of a gruesome attack, which happened at on Division Avenue, Williamsburg, Brooklyn at around 6pm.
The victim is a 46-year-old woman, who was walking on Division Avenue near Rodney Street when an unidentified man aggressively approached her from behind, picked her off the ground and slammed her to the sidewalk.
As per the recording, the suspect is a man with light complexion with a full beard, wearing a neon-yellow hoodie, black pants and red sneakers, and was seen walking in the area.
The video also shows the same man kneeling beside a woman laying on the ground and repeatedly being punched by the man in question.
As the suspect pummeled the woman with his fists and struck her face and body, he also attempted to remove her pants as she lay dazed on the ground.
Realizing that he cannot undress the victim, the suspect fled on foot towards Keap Street.
The victim was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital and is now in a medically-induced coma, being treated for severe head trauma and other injuries.
The authorities have not named the victim as of this writing.
