A male orderly named Stacey Tyrell Mercer Jr.
age 31 working at Michigan nursing home has been charged with armed robbery, a felony, and elder abuse
This attack happened in Green Lake Estates nursing home in West Bloomfield when 69-year-old Alzheimer patient Christine Tracey moved into the facility on July 11. Days after checking her into the home her husband Stan Tracey came back to see her and found out the number of cuts and bruises on her face and fingers and a huge swelling on her forehead, Upon asking, the nursing authorities say that she fell over which results in the injuries.
Upon seeing the injuries Stan Tracey didn’t buy the story and went to the police and ask them to look into the incident.
‘So this incident actually came to our attention on July, 15, the victim’s husband came in stated that he had just seen her at a local hospital and she had a contusion above her right eye, and there was a lot of scratches around her ring finger so he’s obviously concerned for her welfare,‘ said Deputy Chief Curtis Lawson with West Bloomfield Police.
Police contacted the nursing home and asked for the CCTV footage and found out that she didn’t fall over but was abused by the male orderly name Stacey Mercer and stole her wedding ring, and it happened on the same say she came in the home for care.
Tha male orderly was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Green Lake Estates nursing home from 2018 until 21st July 2020. According to the home authorities, they did all the necessary background check and when there was no concern they hired him. They also say that we have a zero-tolerance policy of theft and they acknowledge the fact that a very sentimental and valuable object has been missing and they will do whatever it takes to assist the family and the police.
Christine Tracey and Stan Tracey were married for 50 years, he said that the wedding ring is very special to him and he would love to give to his granddaughter or to put it in a chain around his neck.

‘When you run an organization like this and abuse people that come out bruised, you are not doing any standard of care.’
