A nurse struggled to deliver his final video message for loved ones, just hours before his death from COVID-19.
Sergio Humberto Padilla Hernandez created his emotional farewell for family members, ahead of time. While he held onto great hopes that he would soon recover, there was always an uncertainty.
During the video, the nurse repeatedly says. ‘I will recover, God willing. And we will move forward.” Meanwhile, he expressed that no matter what happens, the family will always keep an eye out in his best interests. He ends the message by saying, “I love you and you will always be in my heart forever.”
While recording the message, loved ones could clearly see how the nurse gasps for air. He has great difficulty in breathing as he tries to move on to the next sentence. But as determined as ever, he pulls through with the message in the end.
News sources confirmed how the frontline healthcare worked died on November 6th, leaving loved ones in an absolute state of tragedy. He was intubated at the very same hospital where he worked, in Mexico’s Cuauhtemoc. His family described him as a dedicated 28-year-old.
According to recent statistics, Mexico saw a sudden surge of greater than 986,000 Coronavirus cases with over 96,430 deaths. Johns Hopkins University unveiled the recent tally, sending plenty of citizens in shock. Moreover, the country also ranked 11th when it came to global cases.
With Hernandez’s recent death, the news continues to embed deep wounds as a result of the virus, in his family’s hearts.
Only recently this year, Hernandez’s sister passed away due to COVID-19 in August, aged 30.
Similarly, the entire family became infected with the virus. Hernandez’s mother was also hospitalized due to the virus’s drastic effects.On the other hand, his father continues to receive oxygen therapy at home, explained his cousin.
While Hernandez’s wife and 5-year-old son are healthy, they will have to lead a life without a caring husband as well as father.
