New York’s Governor Cuomo just announced a new rollout plan relating to the ‘COVID-19 Passport’ for entering venues.
Cuomo mentioned how the new pilot program would help New Yorkers get one step closer to the new normal. Moreover, he also spoke about how the measures help to ensure that all New York citizens get vaccinated.
The COVID-19 passport program means that citizens of the state would have to flash the passport if they wish to seek entry into the state’s theaters, businesses, as well as sports arenas. The move comes as New York works hard at reopening a number of businesses that were shut in an effort to contain the pandemic.
Cuomo talked about how the plan aims to test the ‘Excelsior Pass’ that uses secure technology for confirmation on a citizen’s vaccination status.point 259 |
