New Yorkers don’t know how to deal with the surging population of rats roaming in the NYC streets.
Twelve thousand six hundred and 32 complaints about rats have been registered this year.
The rats as big as rabbits are all over the city, and the situation pisses off the residents. They’re found everywhere from parks to car engines, and people are tired of facing them.The inhabitants are worried and want to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Stats tell rats in New York are as much as 24% of the human population. In a city of 8. 4 million people, the rat population is approximately 2 million.Infants and toddlers often become victims of rat biting. In 1860 a case was reported when a newborn died due to a rat biting his one foot and face. After this tragic incident, the NYC Health Department started a campaign to kill and trap rats.
A live-session was organized on Tuesday to train the citizens for rat prevention.
The host addressed the issue and said the frequent outdoor dinings, heaps of garbage, increase in homeless New Yorkers are some factors that contributed to the rise in the population of critters.The sanitation department needs to improve, and they have to keep the city clean and reduce the rodent population.
She criticized the concerned authorities and said, “They’ve turned this city into an s-hole. ”Amanda Levine said, “Not a single day of mine passes without seeing a rat, and the only person to blame for this is Mayor de Blasio.
” Citizens are disturbed and are angry with the poor administration.
“The condition has become worst than ever. We used to see rats on the roads and tracks; now, they have reached our homes. They should pay rent,” someone wrote on Twitter.Another person tweeted, “NYC Mayor is the worst Mayor ever. It was our fault to vote for him.”

“The problem of rats is as old as the city itself. Together, the administration and the public can defeat the problem,” said Goodman.
