Los Angeles gears up for the installation of a permanent Black Lives Matter mural.
The mural will be located on the famous Hollywood Boulevard. Furthermore, it will commemorate the ongoing movement of BLM that opposes racism.
Ever since George Floyd’s death, in May, the popular Black Lives Movement picked up the pace. Hence, it became more prevalent than ever. And within a span of a few weeks or even months, activists for the movement made sure their voices were heard. And if that meant taking towards the streets for a fight against injustice, then so be it.

Likewise, they embarked on the creation of countless murals that celebrated the Black Lives Matter movement.point 93 | And today, there stands another one in California’s Hollywood Boulevard too.point 165 | 1
Only recently, the city took the initiative to make their mural a permanent installation. And that’s because they felt it was necessary to honor the march of All Black Lives Matter on June 14th. The city’s officials want to make it clear that they believe that Black lives do matter and will always matter.
Originally, the street painting spans across the road’s width. It reads as ‘All Black Lives Matter.’ This arises in giant multi-colored letters. And these represent flags belonging to transgender, pride, as well as non-binary communities.
According to Councilman for the district, Mitch O’Farrell, the giant permanent mural is all set to resemble its original counterpart.
Furthermore, the project is a collaborative effort between the Councilman, the LA Department of Transport, and the LA Bureau of Street Services. This includes The Black LGBTQ Activists for Change, as well as other local members of the community.
