The woman from Perth, Australia, out of excitement, shared the lunchbox snaps on Facebook. The Aussie mom wanted to inspire other parents and give them ideas about ‘what to include’ in their kids’ school lunch. She shared the pictures on a Facebook group named “lunchbox ideas.”

The pictures had a caption that reads, “My 4-year-old daughter just started going to school, and this is what I gave her in lunch.” The post rubbed some of the fellow parents the wrong way. As every parent has a different opinion of the menu in school lunch, the post stimulated a debate.

The other group members didn’t like the idea of an extremely healthy packed lunch, and some of them get too harsh with their words. They said the items she included are not appropriate for a 4-year-old child and are “too grown-up.” The fellow parents told that their kids of this age only eat chicken nuggets.

One of the group members declared the woman as “embarrassing mum.” Others questioned the presence of shelled pistachios in the box. “How can a 4-year-old shell the pistachios?”

The string of negative comments offended the mom, and she responded to the critiques by posting another picture of her daughter’s school lunch. She said she would keep preparing healthy Bentos for her daughter.

“I never thought my lunchbox snap would stimulate a debate, and I’ll encounter so much criticism. All the negative comments are urging me to continue posting my Bentos.” said the mother
