It may be 2021 but the issues relating to breastfeeding seem to be increasing by the minute and this tale of an NYC mum is proof.
A mother from New York City was ticketed while her vehicle was almost towed away for breastfeeding her young child in the car. The mother of 4 named Guillermina Rodriguez claims she was on her way towards the horrifying traffic of the city which was jam-packed as usual.
For this reason, she explains how she had no other option but to feed her child in her vehicle. Moreover, she says that she spent a good 45 minutes searching for a nice spot to park. And when she did, the unthinkable happened.
The vehicle was parked in a commercial zone, way beyond the reach of traffic and any form of disturbance.
Therefore, she climbed into her vehicle’s back seat and then started to nurse her poor little hungry baby who was just 3 weeks old. But then, all of a sudden, a giant tow truck appeared from nowhere and pulled up straight in front of her vehicle.
Rodriguez knew for sure that he would be towing her truck. Despite being in a nursing position, she somehow managed to reach the front of her vehicle and started honking fiercely to get the man’s attention. Soon, the ticket agent approached her car, saw her breastfeeding, and then walked away.
However, he wasn’t that nice as we left her a little girl in the form of a ticket worth $115. The mum was furious because she specifically told him how she was sitting inside the car and breastfeeding and he acknowledged her. But then why did he leave her a ticket, she fumed.
The mum claims that his actions were totally uncalled for. Therefore, she plans to take this matter into the court of law to prevent such incidents from happening with other nursing mothers.
