A mother of three is going viral after refusing to put an end to tandem breastfeeding her grown daughters.
38-year-old Natasha Keane who hails from Galway in Ireland claims she has no shame in her actions because it’s only natural. Moreover, she also mentioned how she first assumed the concept of extended breastfeeding was creepy.
However, with time, she realized after having her two daughters that it’s the best feeling in the world. In addition, the mum of three can’t help but praise the great benefits attached to it including how her kids have stronger immune systems and rarely if ever, get infected by bugs.
Natasha feeds both her 5-year-old daughter Ellie and her 4-year-old daughter Grace simultaneously. And she doesn’t plan on giving up, anytime soon.
The mum of three works as a makeup artist who believes in the concept of tandem breastfeeding because it’s not only convenient but very healthy. And while many people look at her with fury, she simply doesn’t mind the awkward stares she gets, time and time again.
Giving full credit to her nursing capabilities, she believes this is the reason why they don’t need to visit the doctor, unlike other kids their age.
“I wish to practice the art of natural stage weaning. And that means letting my kids choose when they feel they’re ready to quit.”
Natasha doesn’t mind breastfeeding her kids in public too. “I try really hard to avoid letting the comments get to me,” she adds. Not to mention the countless amount of stares she receives, time and time again. But she does claim that they do add an element of uncomfortableness to her ordeal.
The mum of three compared breastfeeding to the double standards that many people have. She feels that people find it ok to look at women in bikinis and lingerie but it’s a sin if someone feeds a child in public
“To me, it’s one of the most natural things in the world. And I simply don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I don’t mind that almost everyone has seen my breasts because I feel good about what I’m doing,” she exclaimed.
