A mother from Virginia shot her 5 children dead, set her house on fire, and then turned the gun towards herself.
25-year-old Oreanna Myers first shot her 3 biological children and then moved to murder her 2 stepchildren. And that was moments before she set her whole West Virginia home on fire, killing herself in the rampage too.
Police identified the children as 7-year-old Shaun Dawson, 6-year-old Riley James Bumgarner, 4-year-old Kian Myers, 3-year-old Aarikyle Nova, and 1-year-old Haiken Jirachi. Meanwhile, cops confirmed how the shocking murder-suicide with arson took place on the 8th of December.
However, the sheriff’s department only recently released the details of the investigations on Thursday.
In addition, the sheriff’s department mentioned how Myers was suffering from anger and depression as her husband stayed with his relatives, instead of his own family and home, during the workweek.
And that was related to his transportation issues. In addition, investigators were quick to reveal a chilling text message that Myers left for her husband, right before the tragedy. It sadly mentioned, ‘You will have nothing to come back to but to the corpse. Reports reveal how the message was sent, moments before she went on the violent murder and arson rampage.
After killing each of her five kids in the head, she even left a confession. This confession clearly defined the current state of her mind saying, ‘I was not strong enough to fight these demons.’
Police found Myers’ body outside the family’s burning home in Virginia with a large red line drawn across her face. The mysterious line was also caught on surveillance cameras when the mum of 5 went to pick up two of her sons from the bus stop as they were coming back to school.
One of her kids even questioned the mum in a worried tone if that was blood on her face.
However, she mentioned that it wasn’t and that the line was just something she drew on her face.Just one hour later, emergency dispatch teams revealed how they got a 911 call regarding a house fire.
And by the time they rushed to the scene, everything was gone and the flames had engulfed the entire residence.
